“Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.” – Winston Churchill
Everyone somehow, some way desires success! This is true whether it is fighting for a cause, pushing for a change of policy, climbing the corporate ladder, getting out of the rat race, making relationships work, propagating a belief, or attaining financial freedom.
However, success always has a price tag. We must give up something to attain it. That includes time, resources, and at times even popularity. But the most challenging of all the price tags would be failure.
It is so frustrating to have done your best then end up not reaching your goals. I know the feeling. I have been there so many times. Quitting seems to be the right choice. But no! The best choice is to move on.
We can observe and learn about the most successful people we know. They all experienced some form of failure before achieving their goals.
Failure is part of the journey to success!
But failure can paralyze anyone for life. The fear of trying again chains us mentally and emotionally. We do not want to go through the trauma anymore. If we do not learn to deal with failure, we will be a failure forever.
On the other hand, failure can be a friend if we learn not to personalize it. Let me say it this way, “Do not take your failure personally!”
Take it lightly. A necessary part. Move on to the next project. Never lose your passion to succeed. Keep moving forward. If you fail, fail forward. Remember success according to Churchill is an ability to move from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm. Why do you think he said that?
Right! Those who keep trying, learn. The more you learn, the more you experience. The more you experience, the more you gain wisdom. The more you gain wisdom, the less mistakes. The less mistakes, the more you succeed!
