Our deepest fear is not that we are
inadequate, our deepest fear is that we
are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that
most frightens us. We ask ourselves,
“Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?” Actually, who
are you NOT to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing
small does NOT serve the world. There
is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won’t feel insecure
around you.
We were born to manifest the glory
that is within us. And as we let our
light shine we unconsciously give other
people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own
fear, our presence automatically
liberates others.
Spoken by Nelson Mandela
1994 Inaugural Speech

I am currently in the process of reevaluating my life and the values that I hold dear. I am starting to question the purpose of my existence in this world and am seeking to find it..right now, all I have are a multitude of questions- I question my strength, my abilities and skills, even my heart.
Thank you for posting this, for the inspiration that holds true in the speech. We should not be afraid of the light that exists within us..sometimes we hide, afraid that others might see and judge us for who we truly are, but in truth, shining through our hearts and souls IS the purpose of our life journey..to surrender in love and faith.
Thank you for reminding me that I give others permission to liberate themselves when I free myself from the shackles that bind me.

To live our lives to the fullest, we must accept that we have a unique role to fulfill on this earth. It may take time to know it but its time will come.
We all have strengths but they need to be nurtured continuously. And our confidence in our strengths must also increase because we need to use them. Unless we use them for others, they are useless.
There will always be people who will judge us but we cannot allow their thoughts and comments to control our lives. Learn from others but your life is your own. You know the good that you can do. Do it!
Be Free. Let your light shine for all to see

I adore this quote. It inspires me to give and be more! This quote often gets attributed to Nelson Mandela, rather it was Marianne Williamson who wrote this in her book “Return to Love.”
